Advertiser ID
The ID of the Affiliate Program on Awin.
Advertiser Mastertag
A JavaScript library essential for Awin tracking. It creates cookies and processes parameters such as awc for click tracking and conversion data. Must not be implemented on pages processing personal or payment information.
API
Application Programming Interface - a solution that allow systems to talk to each other and therefore can be used to automate workflows.
Auto Validation
A feature in Awin integrations that automatically adjusts transaction statuses (e.g., canceled or refunded) based on advertiser-provided updates.
AWC
A unique identifier added to URLs by Awin. It tracks clicks through cookies or parameters, allowing attribution back to affiliates or marketing channels.
Awin UI
The user interface where advertisers can configure tracking, view reports, manage commission groups, and access integration settings.

Commission Group
Commission Groups are utilized to attribute the whole, or parts, of a given transaction to a specific commission rate. These rates may be percentage or fixed amounts. These groups are created and maintained within Commission Management in the Awin UI.

Deduplication
A process that ensures only the last valid traffic source (e.g., affiliate) receives attribution for a conversion. Managed using the Channel Parameter.

Last Click Identifier
A tag or mechanism used to determine the last paid click before a conversion, critical for proper attribution in Awin�s deduplication system.

Product Feed
A structured data file (e.g., XML, CSV) that provides information about products (e.g., name, price, category) for publishers to list accurately on their platforms.
S
Server-to-Server (S2S) Tracking
A tracking method where conversion data is transmitted directly from the advertiser�s server to Awin�s servers, bypassing browser limitations like ad blockers or cookie restrictions.

token
A unique key that allows you to access Awin's API services securely.
U
UTM Parameters
Tags added to URLs to track traffic source, medium, and campaign. Used in Awin to identify affiliate-driven traffic and ensure accurate attribution. Example: utm_source=awin&utm_medium=affiliate.
